THE ‘TEATRO DEL OPERA DI ROMA’ IS JOINING
THE NATIONAL MOURNING FOR POPE FRANCIS
On Saturday 26 April, the day of the funeral, the Costanzi Theatre will be closed to the public
The performance of the diptych Suor Angelica / Il Prigioniero programmed for Saturday 26 April at 6 p.m., the day of Pope Francis’ funeral, has been cancelled. The performance is rescheduled for Wednesday 30 April at 7 p.m. During the period of national mourning, the Capitoline Foundation will display flags at half-mast on the front of the theatre building. The first performance of the diptych Suor Angelica / Il Prigioniero scheduled for this evening, Wednesday 23 April, and that of tomorrow, Thursday 24 April, will be preceded by a minute’s silence in memory of the Holy Father.
Admission tickets for the performance on Saturday 26th April will still be valid for the new date of Wednesday 30th April at 7 p.m., with the same allocation of seats in the auditorium. Those who are unable to attend the performance on the new date of 30 April are invited to contact the Teatro dell’Opera box office no later than 26 April at 6 p.m., on +39 06 48160255 or by e-mail at ufficio.biglietteria@operaroma.it.
Please note that the offices will be open on 23 and 24 April from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., but will be closed on 25 April.
