The Fondazione Teatro dell’Opera di Roma would like to express its most sincere appreciation to the people who, in this difficult year, have decided to offer their generous contribution to the Theatre, including those who have chosen to remain anonymous.
The number of donors who have supported our campaign exceeded all expectations. This demonstrates, once again, how strong is the connection between the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and the many people who are passionate about opera and ballet.
Thanks to their precious support, we were able to carry out, in addition to the replacement of all the seats in the boxes and stalls, financed by the Comune di Roma, numerous maintenance works at the Teatro Costanzi, which we would not otherwise have been able to complete.
In addition to a thorough cleaning, and the safety maintenance works of the central chandelier of the hall, the restoration of the corridor of the third tier boxes, the polishing of the parquet floor of the hall, the polishing of the marble floor of the stalls vestibule and the replacement of the velvet covering of the balustrade of the orchestra pit were carried out.
There are still many things to do, but today we are happy to be able to offer our audience a sparkling and renovated Teatro Costanzi.
